Troubleshooting Canon Printer Common Errors:

Printer is Offline

Whenever the printer goes offline, restart the device. The error mainly occurs when some processes of the printer stop working. When the user restarts the printer, all the processes will start running. Go to the Canon printer and then remove its power cable. When you reconnect it, the printer and its services will restart. Now the user has to connect the printer to the system and then check the printer status.

Canon printer is showing an error state

The printer gets into an error state when the user has changed its settings. The user has made a few invalid changes and then the printer went to an error state. To resolve this error, the user has to reset his Canon device. Use the Canon printer reset tool and change the setting to default.

  1. On the printer, go to Setup

  2. Click on Device settings and go to Reset Settings

  3. Choose the Reset All option and hit OK

On the confirm window, select Yes and the printer device will reset. Now the user has to reconfigure his Canon printer to the PC. After the configuration, the user can easily use his Canon printer.

Canon printer is providing faded printouts

Your Canon printer is known for its print quality. When the printer is giving poor printouts, check the cartridge immediately. When the ink level is low, the printer device starts printing in low quality. Check the cartridge for ink; if low then get a new cartridge for the Canon printer. Also, check the printing mode and make sure the printing mode is high-quality. Your print quality can get affected when you are using clone cartridges. These cartridges have poor ink which degrades the quality of the printout. Always use the original Canon cartridges on the printer. When you can’t afford the original cartridges then you can refill the empty one with good quality ink.

Canon printer can’t find the cartridge

Some users face no cartridge error on Canon printers. While taking the printouts, the printer starts showing No Cartridges status on the screen. This error appears when the printer is unable to fetch the cartridge. Go to the printer and open its access door. Now remove the cartridges and check the ends. Assure that cartridge pins are not broken. Clean the cartridge and then reinstall them. While installing, make sure to remove the protective clips from the cartridge. Users often face this error when they are using clone cartridges. Some Canon printer models don’t allow third-party cartridges. You can only use the original cartridge on the printer. You can refill the empty Canon cartridge and then install them. Few users reported that refilled cartridges are not appearing on the slots. The user has to remove all the Canon cartridges and then install them with the refilled one. Now the printer will get the cartridge and you can take the printouts.

Canon printer not printing

When the printer shows the error code and stops printing then check for its driver. The error while printing can appear when the driver gets corrupted. The user has to inspect and repair the Canon printer driver. Go to the computer and check the Canon printer driver. Run the update of your driver. If the Canon software is corrupted then repair its files. Users can uninstall the corrupted software and then install a new Canon driver on the device.

Canon printer is running slowly

Your Canon device can get into speed issues when you are using a low-speed cable. Changing the cable and printer’s speed will improve immediately. On network printing, users can improve the printer speed by keeping the printer device near to the router. The Canon speed issues can appear when its printhead is not moving correctly. It occurs when the printhead gets jammed with the dry ink. Remove the dry ink using the utility service and then your printer will start working correctly.
